From 6 April 2015 new regulations will mean the earnings limit for Carer's Allowance will increase from £102 to £110 per week.

This means that carers can earn up to this amount each week and still qualify for Carer's Allowance. It also means that it is possible to claim Carers Allowance and work 16 hours on minimum wage, which may entitle some carers to extra financial help through Working Tax Credits.

For more information on how the earnings rules work visit Carers UK's Carer's Allowance page on the Carers UK website or contact the Carers UK Adviceline on 0808 808 7777 (Mon to Fri, 10am-4pm) or at [email protected]
